Etna Laboratories Corporation performs routine testing for foodborne bacteria pathogens such as Salmonella, Escherichia coli O157:H7, Listeria monocytogenes, Clostridium perfringens, and other pathogens, as well as indicator organisms like Listeria spp., Enterobacteriaceae, and Coliforms. We test food, beverage, and plant or deli environmental samples for Aerobic Plate Count, Lactic Acid Bacteria, Acidophilic Bacteria, Yeast and Mold, and other special microbiology procedures. We perform shelf life testing to determine use-by dates for products. We specialize in inoculated challenge studies in food and beverage products to validate cooking, cooling, and food safety-based shelf life. Our primary customers are food and beverage manufacturers.
