Dr. Byrne has 25 years of surgical experience, and expertise in all types of brain tumor surgery including: skull base surgery, pituitary surgery, surgical treatment for epilepsy, glioma, brain metastasis, acoustic neuroma and meningioma. Dr. Byrne has served a leadership role in numerous professional societies, including President of the Neurosurgical Society of America, Director of the American Board of Neurological Surgeons, Board of Directors of the American Assocation of Neurological Surgeons, Board of Directors of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and Treasurer of the Society of Neurological Surgeons.
